Attic work, room-by-room balance
Leaky duct is cold air you paid for, cooling your attic.
In a Florida attic, leaky duct is cooled air you paid for going into insulation. We seal the joints and boots, repair crushed runs and re-balance the registers.
The Florida attic problem
A Treasure Coast attic in summer is hot enough to punish anything running through it. Your cooled air travels through flex duct and sheet metal up there, and every loose joint, every pulled-off boot and every sagging run lets some of it out into the insulation instead of into the room.
That is the leaky duct problem: cooled air you paid for, escaping into a space nobody lives in. The signs are easy to spot from inside the house. The far bedroom never matches the thermostat, the system runs long and still falls behind, and the power bill keeps climbing in a house where nothing else changed.

How a duct visit works
We start by looking, not selling. A technician inspects the duct system from the air handler out to the last register, checking joints, boots, connections and any run that has been crushed, kinked or chewed on. Then we seal the joints and boots properly, repair the damaged runs and re-balance the registers room by room.
If the inspection turns up a musty smell, visible growth or a system that has sat through a wet season, we also offer duct sanitizing and mold-remediation options. They are options, not a default add-on, and we will tell you plainly when one is not worth your money.
Why it pays, and what to ask first
Sealing and balancing usually pays for itself on the power bill, because the air you are already paying to cool finally lands in the rooms you use. It also takes load off the equipment, which matters when a system runs ten months a year.
Before anyone sells you a bigger system for a room that will not cool, ask for a balance check on the duct first. Super Cool of the Treasure Coast is Florida licensed, CAC042650, and has worked on Port St. Lucie attics since 1988. Call (772) 284-5774 and we will tell you what we would look at first.
