Nights, weekends, holidays, someone here picks up. Down with a newborn, an elderly parent or a full restaurant? Say so when you call and we'll prioritize you.
What counts as an emergency down here
On the Treasure Coast, a dead air conditioner in July is not an inconvenience. The house climbs fast, the humidity comes in with it, and by evening the walls are sweating. No cooling in extreme heat is the first thing on our list, and it is not the only one.
A burning smell or smoke, a breaker that keeps tripping, water pouring from the air handler, a loud grinding or screeching, and a business that cannot open its doors all get the same treatment. If it is on that list, call now instead of waiting for the office to open.
Not sure whether yours qualifies? Call anyway. After 38 years in Port St. Lucie and the towns around it, we can usually tell you over the phone what we are likely walking into.

What happens when you call at 2am
A person answers. Not a voicemail box, not a call center in another state. Super Cool of the Treasure Coast answers the line 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, holidays and storm weekends included, and the number is (772) 284-5774.
Same-day in most cases. You get a real window instead of "sometime tomorrow," and a text when the technician is on the way. When they arrive they test the system, show you the failed part or the reading in plain English, and give you a flat price before any work starts. You approve it first.
Who goes first, and what to do while you wait
Tell us who is in the house when you call. A newborn, an elderly parent, anyone for whom a hot night is a health matter, or a restaurant with a full dining room gets moved up the line. Maintenance plan members get priority scheduling too, which is one reason the plan pays off in a heat wave.
While you wait, keep it simple and safe. If you smell burning or see water pouring from the unit, switch the system off at the thermostat. If a breaker keeps tripping, do not keep resetting it, because that repeated trip is the system telling you something is wrong. Open windows only if it is cooler outside, keep blinds closed on the sunny side, and stay hydrated.
